Ways to Customize Your Blog Template, Part 1
Just because you are using a pre-designed template doesn’t mean you have to keep everything the same, you can update the font styles and colors to bring your personality into the design.
After years of custom designing my own blog I decided to go back to basics and use a premier theme. I needed to take some time focusing on the content of the blog instead of the design of the blog, which was consumer more time then it should.
So how do you decide what colors to use for your blog and how do you know those colors are complimentary? Unless you have a natural knack for design there are some great online resources that can help you with your color choices.
For this example I’m going to use this blog since I’ve been editing this theme for a few weeks. I already have a logo designed now I just need to update the color scheme of the site so the colors are complimentary.
I think this color picking tool provided the most details about the font you select.
The Color Wizard tool is actually my favorite out of the three and I love the colors that will compliment my logo. Here are the colors I will be using for this site going forward.
