Facebook and Wacom just got married and created two free applications utilizing your Wacom Pen and the Facebook interface. Wacom’s first two babies are Bamboo DoodeScape and BambooCardBuilder they are currently available at www.facebook.com/wacom.
Don’t worry if you don’t have the Wacom pen the application is still available to all Facebook users however owners of the Wacom pen tablet gain additional benefits using the tools.
The Bamboo DoodleScape application provides Facebook users a virtual drawing space to sketch and collaborate with friends. From the DoodleScape application users can apply Bamboo’s full pen pressure sensitivity to create new drawings within their own DoodleScape and share with friends and/or post on your wall. You can easily invite others to add their own doodles or even crowd source a personal masterpiece.
Check out what others are doing with Bamboo DoodleScape gallery @ http://apps.facebook.com/bamboodoodlescape. I won’t bore you with my doodles because, well just as owning the best camera doesn’t make you the best photographer, owning the coolest tablet doesn’t make you an artist.
The Bamboo CardBuilder allows you to create customized digital greetings and send them to all your friends, selected friends or post it on your wall.
The CardBuilder application allows Facebook users to upload an image from their own, or a friends, photo gallery. Users have the ability to draw on the selected image and add borders, text, background and embellishments from Wacom’s pre-populated library. I just created a Halloween card and posted it on my wall.
