Have you been thinking about purchasing an e-reader? With so many options out there it’s really hard to chose which one is best. I had the opportunity to review and sit in on a webinar and fell in love with the new NOOKcolor. Even if you have the original Nook, the NOOKcolor is worth taking a second look.
One of the most important features for me is the ability to upload your own content (like e-books) on to the Nook device. I’ve purchased several photography, blogging and business related e-books that often don’t get read because I don’t want to print them out and I don’t like to read from the computer. Who wants to really haul around 100+ pages of 8×11 paper.
The new NOOKcolor allows you to read different mediums from books, kids books and magazines in vivid color and totally customizable.
Your Library, Your Way
With the NOOKcolor you can organize your library how you want. You can create “shelves” for your kids, your books, your e-books and even your book club books if you participate in one. Even your spouse can have his/her own shelf.
I love the LendMe features of the NOOKcolor. You can share your favorite books to friends and family and even borrow some of theirs.
As you are reading you now have the ability to take notes, high-light details and even look up words for clarification. And if you find a powerful quote you just have to share with friends – just click the share button and share with you Facebook and Twitter friends.
Your Nook, Your Way
I always like to embed my style in all my devices whether it’s my phone, camera or e-reader. With the NOOKcolor you can organize your home screen how you want, personalize your wallpaper and even buy some stylish accessories.
Share with Your Kids
My kids are always trying to play with my gadgets and toys and for the most part they are good a navigating through them. My daughter loves to read so this will be a great way for her to explore other books without having to buy another book shelf. Plus we can travel a little lighter by just storing some of her favorites on the NOOKcolor. Best of all, ALL children’s books are displayed in landscape view to preserve the way kids books should appear. Another really cool feature for kids is the Read to Me option – kids can either read to themselves or have the books narrated.
