Last week Adobe announced their new Carousel app, which is currently being labeled as “Lightroom for the iPad.” The app is supposed to be released at the end of month. The apps featured are in line with Adobe Lightroom/Camera Raw engine. Here are just a few of them.
- You get access to all your images on all your devices.
- All edits are non-destructive: tweak a setting on one device & you’ll see the edit ripple through your other devices.
- It’s easy to collaborate with friends & family: people you invite to share a photo catalog can view photos, add new ones, apply adjustments and preset “looks,” and flag favorites.
- You can easily publish to social networks like Facebook, Twitter, and Tumblr.
I’m super excited because I just purchase Adobe Lightroom last week, while it was on sale on Adoroma.com and can’t wait to test it out. Now I just have to download the app when it becomes available. The Carousel app is free, however there is syncing storage service that does have additional costs. $9.99 per month for unlimited storage of photos.
