3 Instagram presets for Lightroom and 5 ways to improve your Instagram Pics
I’m doing something crazy over here… forcing myself out of my creative slump! Slump isn’t probably the best word, since I’ve just preoccupied with work and in total computer burnout by the time I get home.
But nonetheless, I’m going to go with it. A creative slump.
I’ve been idolizing over the high-quality images on Instagram for months now and decided it was time to step up my game. I finally enabled the wifi on my Canon 6D so I can upload those images straight in to the phone and onto Instagram.
I know what you’re thinking. Sometimes you want to edit the pictures on your computer before showcasing them to the world. I discovered to cool ways to do this.
Instagram doesn’t have an API that allows you to upload pictures directly from computer, but there are several ways you can get around this. This week I’m testing out Latergramme, it’s a online and mobile application that helps you schedule Instgram posts and lets you upload pictures to put in a “holding pattern” into you are ready to upload them to Facebook.
Once you create your account, which only takes a few seconds, you will be ready to start sharing on Instagram. On the mobile app you can see what posts are scheduled to go out, when they are ready and when they have posted.
Latergramme can’t post the pictures automatically but it will send you a push notification so you can post the picture via Instagram.
If time is short you can drop the “filters” stage in Instagram by downloading and/or purchasing some Instagram-like Presets for Lightroom.
