Capture Living: Capturing Your Kids Back to School – from Kindergarten and Up. This summer went by so fast; it didn’t even feel like vacation
I can hardly say we had a relaxing summer break but then again I never do. Last summer we spent the entire time packing the family across the country, then unpacking, to looking for employment. It’s been a crazy twelve months – the first 3-4 are still a blur.
But now we are semi-settled in, though I’ve decided I will never get used to the amount and size of bugs there are on this side of the coast. We are settled in and our kids are starting the 2nd round of school in Maryland. This year is especially special because Mr. M is moved up to the big K and my wallet thanks him dearly.
Per usual we woke up earlier than usual time to make sure I had plenty of time to get some pictures of the kids. I had dreams of making a really fancy lunch so they could use their kid bento boxes this morning but opted for something simple for the first day of school.
Mr. M rarely lets me take his picture these days, but he accommodated his mother for a few minutes today. But totally refused to take one at the school, even after I stomped my feet and begged (okay I didn’t stop my feet, but there was a little tiny bit of begging). Nonetheless, he’s just as stubborn as me oh I mean as his Dad, so I backed down. Sometimes you have to take what you get with these little ones.
After school I tried to grab a couple at the bus stop as they were stepping off the bus, but my pictures were photo bombed by another parent.
