Moms, You Need to Get in the Shot Too
Mom-to-Mom is a series of photo exhibits that feature non-technical tips and artistic inspiration from image-making moms. The exhibits, which focus on a new theme each month, are designed to encourage other moms like you to experiment with your cameras, lenses, and accessories to hone your own photographic skills.
I’m the photographer in the family so finding a picture of me alone or even with the kids is rare. I never really liked being in front of the camera so its not all bad. But truth be told I’m looking forward to paying one of my photographer friends to capture sometime between myself and the kids. But that’s not all I want someone to capture me as a woman. I’ve taken a vow with a friend that we will travel to Australia to get photographed by Sue Bryce (which means I need to be racking in some serious dough, really soon).
Since I don’t have the money for Sue Bryce today, I’ll enjoy capturing my friends as mothers and as woman. This is Tee Burgess one of the friends I’ve met through mutual friend/blogging/photography. We spent the day together shooting, eating and just hanging out. We discovered some things along the way.
