I have been meaning to purchase a small camcorder for some time now. A few years back we bought one that required us to use mini CDs, thinking that was SO MUCH better than having one with an internal hard drive. Needless to say we hardly use it, and often forgot it even existed. This was before the Flip and other mini handheld video cameras and we thought it would be easier to share the little DVD’s.
A few weeks back I was given the opportunity to review the JVC Everio HD and have been using it ever since. I have two favorite features…
The Flip Out Screen – that allows you to turn the monitor so you can easily self-record a video of yourself.
The Time Lapse – I love the time lapse feature and have used it twice over the holiday weekend.

The JVC Everio is small enough to fit into your purse and its lightweight makes it easy to hold and shoot for long periods of time. My only wish is that it would come with a remote control. It’s easy to navigate through the menu and record and upload.
