Last night, I listened to the recorded edition of Sarah Shaw’s Ustream call and it really got me thinking. I’ve owned an online baby boutique for several years now and while it has been bringing in a steady amount of income, I find myself thinking that I should be doing more. I’ve bounced around the idea of starting my own clothing line or product but have never really followed through.
It’s very frustrating because it seems whenever I think of something – I will always find something similar at one of the trade shows months later. Then comes the thought, “why didn’t I just follow through.” Maybe I’ve just been scared to really put myself and my money out there. Sure I know that you can’t succeed without risks, but when it comes to money it makes me cringe. What happens if I put all of my money out there and fail and lose it all?
Even with the risk of losing it all, I can’t stop thinking about creating my own brand. I have so many ideas and now I’m really thinking its time to put myself out there and accomplish something great. Have you ever felt like you are “almost there” but you just need to take that last leap? What did you do?
I’ve been following closely on Sarah’s website, The Entreprenette Gazette, and it sounds like she’s talking to me. The person on the edge of success trying to figure out the next step.
In today’s post, Tips on how to discover a new product to invent, Sarah gets views from several different entrepreneurs on ways to discover that product.
