This December, I started reading Overlap a book by Sean Wes and decided to set a writing goal for the new year. I’ll be updating my progress weekly. The word count will include articles on BizzieLiving.com, BizzieMediaGroup.comm and Stephanielelie.com.
My goal is to write 100,000 words by the end of 2018. This is where I will track my progress each month.
The first of the month wasn’t a good one from a writing perspective. I only managed to write 11 of the 31 days in January. That’s 35% success rate… or failure rate. I FAILED big time this month, but it was my first attempt and creating a habit takes time.
I need to get my butt into gear if I want to make it to 100,000 words by December 31st.
This month I wrote 6,357 words towards my 100,000 words goal. That leaves me with 93,643 words with an average of 8,500 words per month. I will need to average 303 words per day to meet my goal.
I’m not sure what happened to me. Ten years ago writing came easy. Did I have more time on my hands? Did I have more to say? That can’t be it, because I defiantly know more now then I did before. But writing is hard no. I just can’t get into the mindset as easily.
Obviously that was my prequel to say, I didn’t meet my writing goal this week. I was only able to muster up the keystrokes to write 2,598 words. That’s only like 92 words a day! I wasn’t able to find the time or the space in my head to write this month. I’m hoping March will be better.
This months tally: 2,598 words towards by 100,000 word goal. My current total: 8,955 which leaves me with 91,045 words in the next 10 months.
March flew by faster than a bullet train. So finding time to write was almost impossible. I only managed to type up 1,796 words this month.
This months tally: 1,796 words towards my 100,000 word goal.
Current Total: 10,751
Words to Go: 89,249 words!
